“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37 NLT)
6:37, 38 – A forgiving spirit demonstrates that a person has received God’s forgiveness. Jesus used the picture of measuring grain in a basket to ensure the full amount. If we are critical rather than compassionate, we will also receive criticism. If we treat others generously, graciously, and compassionately, however, these qualities will come back to us in full measure. We are to love others, not judge them.(Tyndale Study Bible)
My inspiration to write these blogs is the wisdom and lessons from the Bible, which I consider absolutely phenominal! I just have to share it with the world. I get so excited that I literally cannot stop studying and getting more from the Living Word!
Driving to my mother yesterday, my wife tells me that someone close to me has started drinking again. The sad part is that she has an addictive personality. A positive, however, is that she has overcome a crack-cocaine habit, that cost her all she had financially. My immediate reaction was to judge, as I would have in the past. I have purposely included you in this blog and I am sorry for judging you. Today I will pray for you.
“Dear Lord, I pray that You will forgive me, for judging others. I pray that You will a give me the patience and wisdom to overcome this. Lord, not only do I pray for my friend but for all those whom I have judged. Lord, please forgive me for judging them. I pray that You will hear my prayers for them. Give me the words and wisdom and let my prayers reach their hearts.
Lord, my friend knows You and I pray that You reach out and touch her heart. Guide her and put her back on track. Give her the strength, insight and will to overcome this habit. I pray that You guide and direct her.
I pray this all in Jesus Mighty Name.
