Second Chance

“This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, ‘It is through faith that a righteous person has life’.” (‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ NLT)

1:17 – The Good News shows us both how righteous God is in His plan for us to be saved and also how we may be made fit for eternal life. By trusting Christ, our relationship with God is made right. “From start to finish,” God declares us to be right with Him because of faith and faith alone. Paul then quotes from Habakkuk 2:4 to show that as we trust God, we are saved; we have life both now and forever.(Tyndale Study Bible)

After all this bad news about our sinfulness and God’s condemnation, Paul gives the wonderful news. There is a way to be declared not guilty—by trusting Jesus Christ to take away our sins. Trusting means putting our confidence in Christ to forgive our sins, to make us right with God, and to empower us to live the way He taught us. God’s solution is available to all of us regardless of our background or past behavior.(Tyndale Study Bible)

By faith and faith alone we are made right with God. Yesterday I wrote about the Good News and how it is available to all, with the only requirements being belief and having faith in the Lord.

Have you ever felt guilty of doing something or, possibly, not doing something? Or maybe felt guilty for sinning? If you believe and have faith in God, He guarantees your forgiveness and being made right before Him. He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins, THAT is how much God loved us. So, as the writer says, if you trust in God you will not be found guilty of any of your offenses.

It immediately reminds me of “seed time and harvest”. You see, God is a God of chance.

In the work place, we always have another chance to overcome a sale, problem or opportunity we are facing. It’s up to us to do it correctly and diligently, as well as to the glorification of our Father. Carry on in your diligence and dedication and, most importantly, trust in God and the rewards will be huge.

So come on, let’s practice doing our best and make a habit out of it.

Go for it, you have a second chance.

Be Blessed.
