Do something

But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments!” (‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭17-18 NLT)

103:13, 14 – We are fragile, but God’s care is eternal. Too often we focus on God as judge and lawgiver, ignoring his compassion and concern for us. When God examines our lives, he remembers our human condition. Our weakness should never be used as a justification for sin. His mercy takes everything into account. God will deal with you compassionately. Trust him.

How did Israel deserve to be chosen above all of the other nations at that time? It was not a matter of Israel’s merit, but of God keeping his promise to their ancestors. Just as God chose the nation of Israel, he has chosen all believers today to be a part of his treasured possession. Similarly, it is not because of our merit that we have come to faith in Christ. Instead, God chose us out of his goodness and grace.(Tyndale study Bible)

What we tend to forget is that God love is unconditional. We often feel condemnation when we sin or have sinful thoughts. However, God loves us regardless. That doesn’t mean that we can continue to consciously sin, and we should constantly be praying and trying to improve as people. Just as the writer above says, we should focus on God’s love rather than His condemnation. He has huge concern for us.

In church yesterday, Pastor Rick Goodwin was speaking about taking risks, not just living our comfortable lives. He explained that when you do that, you need to rely on God’s will and favor. That’s exactly what God wants us to do; to rely on Him for everything. To achieve any of this, you have to do something. You can’t just sit around and think it’s going to happen. So, don’t let your human weaknesses be an excuse for sin and no action. Rely on God and do something!

The beat feeling is being loved. We all have experienced it before in our kids or our friendships and, maybe, our first love. You should feel like that daily, because  all you have to do is accept God’s love. When I read scripture about love I feel overwhelmed. Do you know the feeling? It’s available to all of us.

Just remember, God chose you and loves yo
