“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24 NLT)
3:23 – Since the Creation, God has given us work to do. If we could regard our work as an act of worship or service to God, such an attitude would take some of the drudgery and boredom out of it. We could work without complaining or resentment if we would treat our job problems as the cost of discipleship.(Tyndale Study Bible)
What more motivation do we need?
This principle is the most amazing to me. It makes my daily tasks so rewarding. What I find fascinating is the principle of seed-time and harvest. God has always promised favour when applying these principles.
Since becoming a Christian, the most amazing things have happened to me. I am in car sales and in a declining market, but still I have been growing my business. Why? Because I apply these principles. I am not perfect and I still fail, because it is hard to meet God’s standard. Rather ask His help.
I am not going to harp the point, but try to do as the scripture says. The results are outstanding.
Work willingly to the Glory of God.
