As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them. (2 Corinthians 10:17-18 NLT)
When we do something well, we want to tell others and be recognized. But recognition is dangerous—it can lead to inflated pride. How much better it is to seek the praise of God rather than the praise of people. Then, when we receive praise, we will be free to give God the credit. What should you change about the way you live in order to receive God’s commendation? (Tyndale Study Bible)
It still amazes me, scripture. More interesting is how God talks to us. “It’s just for me”
I am on the eve of big things, this is just a reminder. Who does everything come from? I heard on the radio yesterday that HE knows the number of hair on your head. He knows everything.
So yes humble yourself before God and give him all the Glory and recognition. Just like Paul says boost about God. Because He is responsible for everything.
It reminds me that “all things are possible with God.”
“Lord I pray that you will humble me and that I boost about You only. I thank you for the opportunity you presented. In Jesus name. Amen”
