And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” (Acts of the Apostles 20:35 NLT)
These words of Jesus are not recorded in the Gospels. Obviously, not all of Jesus’ words were written down (John 21:25); this saying may have been passed on orally through the apostles.
“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. – John C. Maxwell
“If everything seems under control, you’re just not going fast enough”. – Mario Andretti
“Try not to be a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value”. – Albert Einstein
There are very clever men is this world we life in today. How many quotes have you read over the years. I am sure many. The trick off course is to apply them.
How many of us just takes it for granted that the next man or woman knows how to apply these wisdom’s. Have you heard this before “he just does not get it” Well maybe if you took the time to explain he would.
Take time and read these 3 Quotes.
If you know how something works then you are a leader in that. It’s your responsibility to show others then. You know the way, go that way and then show the way.
The next thing that strikes me is how passive we can be. Read the second quote. You see we would quickly say, “I don’t have time for that(sharing our knowledge)” Are we that busy that we are out of control? No, there is always time.
Know read the last quote, by Albert Einstein. Rather become a man of value than success. But Jesus did say “work hard and be an example.”
Now for a moment think of the wisdom’s in the Bible and what it teaches us. All those wisdom’s are right there in one Book. Daily I am amazed at the teachings. I challenge you to take time and read the Bible. You will be amazed.
Do me a favour read that scripture again. “It’s more blessed to give than receive”
“Lord I pray that you touch people’s heart with these words. I pray that they realize there is only one way, Your way. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.”
