But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV)
The fruit of the Spirit is the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit produces these character traits that are found in the nature of Christ. They are the by-products of Christ’s control—we can’t obtain them by trying to get them without his help. If we want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us, we must join our lives to his (see John 15:4-5). We must know him, love him, remember him, and imitate him. As a result, we will fulfill the intended purpose of the law—to love God and our neighbors. Which of these qualities do you want the Spirit to produce in you?
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:4-5 NLT)
“Love” is this not the key? Won’t the world be a better place if we adopt the principle of Love. What will be the fruit of love?
Remember we spoke about that little voice that speaks to you. Don’t do that. Well that is the Holy Spirit. My experience has taught me that when you loose your cool that voice is gone.
So dress yourself with Spirit and then loving would be easier. Immediately i am reminded by the words, Pure, Holy and Humble.
Daily we face challenges, we do have the tools to deal with it. All we have to do is apply them. it amazes me as humans how quickly we forget. We will be taught today and tomorrow is forgotten. You see if you want to learn new habits it takes will power and at least 3 weeks of practice. Everything in life is possible.
Just like our Pastor said yesterday. You need a vision. If you don’t have one, you will be like a chicken with out a head.
“Lord I pray that you fill me with vision, let Holy Spirit do the good work in me. Fill me with love and compassion. In Jesus name i pray. Amen”
