Make a difference

Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. (‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ NLT)

Paul uses active and forceful verbs to describe the Christian life: run, pursue, fight, hold tightly. Some think Christianity is a passive religion that advocates waiting for God to act. On the contrary, we must have an active faith, training, working hard, sacrificing, and doing what we know is right. Is it time for action on your part? Christian service, like athletics, requires training and sacrifice. Our discipline and obedience largely define whether or not we will be contributors or merely spectators. How would other believers rank your contributing role on Christ’s team?

I have heard Christian kids say the following words, “Jesus take the wheel” Know I pose the question? The disciples asked Jesus who was the greatest of them all? Jesus answered very clearly, “he who serves most” When I read this I realised that the basis off Christianity is caring for others.

Do you think “Love” is a feeling or an action? Well you see the word is verb, so it’s action. We have to do love, it’s not just a feeling.

There 2 things that stand out for me in this scripture. It calls us to action, to hold tightly to what God has called us to. Further to fight for our Faith.

In my opinion these actions should spill over to our daily life. Just like the commentator says above. I mark these comments in Bold letters because it’s that important.

Listening to the Radio the announcer made the comment, if every one of us can just touch one person in a positive way today, imagine what a difference we can make to the world.

“Lord I pray that I can be a man of action, like You ask of us. May this be true to all aspects of my life. In Jesus name. Amen”
