The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. (Acts of the Apostles 4:13 NLT)
Knowing that Peter and John were untrained, the council was amazed at what being with Jesus had done for them. A changed life convinces people of Christ’s power. One of your greatest testimonies is the difference others see in your life and attitudes since you have believed in Christ.
Although the evidence was overwhelming and irrefutable (changed lives and a healed man), the religious leaders refused to believe in Christ and continued to try to suppress the truth. Don’t be surprised if some people reject you and your positive witness for Christ. When minds are closed, even the clearest presentation of the facts can’t open them. But don’t give up either. Pray for those people and continue to spread the Good News.
Just like the little girl said yesterday what do I know? Do we actually know?
When do you know when is the right time? I have heard so many Pastor say when you feel the calling you should go. There is no time like know. Spread the good news.
I remember the day I got saved if you had asked me to pray out loudly in front of people I would say you are mad. I could never do it.
Today I have a boldness born out of faith. I boldly declare my faith and will pray before one or thousands. You see when you become saved, the Holy Spirit starts working in you. The boldness starts developing in you. Just as the council saw the change in Peter and John, the world should see the change in you. It’s different for each. That why the “Church, the body of Christ” has so many different people, with different talents.
There are a couple of things that I am great full for, receiving the boldness and God never stop doing the good work in me. Just like the commentator says the change in you is your biggest testimony. Share that boldly.
Our mandate is to change and spread the Good news. Bear witness for God.
“Lord I pray that you work the change. Keep me from evil deeds. I thank You for boldness. In Jesus name I pray. Amen”
