Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. (Galatians 6:7-8 NLT)
It would certainly be a surprise if you planted corn and pumpkins came up. It’s a natural law to harvest what we plant. It’s true in other areas too. If you gossip about your friends, you will lose their friendship. Every action has results. If you plant to please your own desires, you’ll harvest a crop of sorrow and evil. If you plant to please God, you’ll harvest joy and everlasting life. What kind of seeds are you planting?
The first thing that comes to mind so a person thinks so is he.
Don’t be misled. I am sure this happened to you before. Sinful thoughts, and what we think is that nobody knows. Yes no other person knows, but the Bible says that God knows everything about you.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.(Hebrews 3:14)
Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.(Psalm 139:4)
So at the end of the day who are we fooling with those thoughts. Because those thoughts will eventually turn into action.
Read that Scripture again. We cant mislead God and yourself. Pure thoughts will bring pure results. Whats more important this lesson is even relevant to our daily tasks. What you sow you shall reap.
“Lord I pray for clear and pure thoughts. So the result will pure. I thank You. In Jesus name. Amen.”
