“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
We’re all encouraged by a leader who stirs us to move ahead, someone who believes we can do the task he has given and who will be with us all the way. God is that kind of leader. He knows the future, and his plans for us are good and full of hope. As long as God, who knows the future, provides our agenda and goes with us as we fulfill his mission, we can have boundless hope. This does not mean that we will be spared pain, suffering, or hardship, but that God will see us through to a glorious conclusion.
From a young age, we seek recognition. It starts with our parents followed with our teachers and leaders at the schools we attend. We always want approval and recognition from our friends and peers.
What amazed me is when I joined the Church I noticed how little credit is passed on. I wondered about it for a long time. I came to the realization that Christians are not to seek recognition in the world. All our reward is from God. And it’s not always instant and tangible. Because it can come in the form of inner peace.
In the Church when you have done your bit unconditionally then recognition follows. Take our Head Pastor, he built the Church from 6 people in his house to 3000 members and 1000 persons in attendance on a Sunday morning. His recognition before God must be enormous. I know what you are saying that’s not so difficult. Why don’t you have a go at it?
We become discouraged quickly. Read the scripture above. For I know the plans I have for you. Plans for good not for disaster. To you the believer and nonbeliever my advice is. Never stop been committed to what you are doing, you never know when your breakthrough is going to be. It is true in everything you do. It does not only count for work.
So be 100 % committed this year, 2016 because this could be the year God has chosen for you.
Plans for good!
“Lord I pray for Faith in your plans. I pray that we never give up. In Jesus name. Amen.
