And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. (Ephesians 4:26 – 27) NLT)
The Bible doesn’t tell us that we shouldn’t feel angry, but it points out that it is important to handle our anger properly. If vented thoughtlessly, anger can hurt others and destroy relationships. If bottled up inside, it can cause us to become bitter and destroy us from within. Paul tells us to deal with our anger immediately in a way that builds relationships rather than destroys them. If we nurse our anger, we will give the devil an opportunity to divide us. Are you angry with someone right now? What can you do to resolve your differences? Don’t let the day end before you begin to work on mending your relationship. (Tyndal Study Bible)
The more I study the Bible, the more I want. I love discovering new verses.
Remember the words Holy, Humble and Pure. Patients can fit in here as well. Will you ever get angry if you dress with these words?
I feel I should just say this again, these words speak to me. I struggle with things all the time. I am inspired by the Word of God and feel I should share that inspiration. Be God’s messenger. The revelation when you study the Word is just amazing.
We have all gone to bed angry, and I know it’s not always easy to resolve issues of the heart. Why? Pride takes over and what should we be, Humble. Anger inflicted by the devil is there to separate us from God. Paul tells us to deal with our anger immediately in a way that builds relationships rather than destroys them. You see around every corner there is an opportunity to strengthen relationships. If you can work through these challenges its a victory over the devil. The more you achieve this, the stronger you and the process becomes.
There are instances where anger can be healthy. For example, when you are angry with yourself about something. Achieving an objective through quiet aggression is good. You could be doing it to Glorify God.
Just keep these keywords in the front of your mind, Holy, Humble and Pure.
