“Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬
David knew from experience what it meant to wait for the Lord. He had been anointed king at age 16, but didn’t become king until he was 30. During the intervening years, he had been chased through the wilderness by jealous King Saul. David had to wait on God for the fulfillment of his promise to reign. Later, after becoming king, he was chased by his rebellious son, Absalom.
Waiting for God is not easy. Often it seems that he isn’t answering our prayers or doesn’t understand the urgency of our situation. That kind of thinking implies that God is not in control or is not fair. But God is worth waiting for. Lamentations 3:24-26 calls us to hope in and wait for the Lord because often God uses times of waiting to refresh, renew, or teach us. Make good use of your waiting times by discovering what God may be trying to show you in them.
I am always amazed at the reveal of scripture, this follows what we were saying yesterday. I was speaking about ” in God’s time.” It’s like it’s talking to us, the scripture I mean. Yes, I know that is what it is supposed to do. Sometimes we don’t pay attention to it. So for a minute pay attention, let the Holy Spirit do His work in us.

I am going to tell you this when I started selling cars again; I thought I would be successful immediately. It took two years to get back on track. Today four years later and plenty of hard work I am back on top of the pile. Blessed with a talent and secondly the financial blessing of God, very grateful. I must admit I almost gave up. I have a friend that is close to giving up on his endeavour. ” Friend I want to stress that God has great plans for you. You have not failed, although it seems like it sometimes. You fail the day you give up. Be like David never give up, be patient and you will overcome your GIANT. Whatever that might be.” I pray favour for you and all that are reading this.

Please just promise that you are practising and studying the word of God while you are waiting. No not waiting but preparing yourself for the days of blessings. Read the commentary above, I am not only speaking for myself friend: but I am shouting out to all of you. God looks for obedience in us, so let’s not disappoint Him.

So be patient and in the meantime spend the time you have waiting wisely.

” I pray favour and patients for all of you. In Jesus name. Amen”
