God’s love

“neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:39‬ ‭NIV‬‬
These verses contain one of the most comforting promises in all Scripture. Believers have always had to face hardships in many forms: persecution, illness, imprisonment, and even death. These sometimes cause them to fear that they have been abandoned by Christ. But Paul exclaims that it is impossible to be separated from Christ. His death for us is proof of his unconquerable love. Nothing can separate us from Christ’s constant presence with us. God tells us how great his love is so that we will feel totally secure in him. If we believe these overwhelming assurances, we will not be afraid.
Powers are unseen forces of evil in the universe, forces like Satan and his fallen angels (see Ephesians 6:12). In Christ we are super-conquerors, and his love will protect us from any such forces.(Tyndal Study Bible)
When things are hard, it is easy to think that Jesus has forgotten about you. Finances are most probably the most common challenge we face on a daily basis. How many of us can say that we really in control? There are many other problems out there in this world. The pressures of life make us forget about God. We question our faith. Just like we question where is Jesus in those trying times.

You see God does not care what we have done. He loves all people. He loved us so much he sent his Son Jesus to die for our sins. God’s love is unlimited and unconditional. So matter what we think God never leaves us. God’s love and forgiveness should be an example to us. His will for us is to follow that example. Not always easy. One can’t be half pregnant it’s all or nothing. Are we half Christians?

Read the commentary above of evil forces. These things that keep us from God will come in many guises. It could even be a close friend leading you astray. You will be suprised what form these influences will take. Ephesians, it talks about dressing yourself with the armour of God. Part that armour is a sword to fend off the enemy(devil). The trick is to stay in the Word of God because that is what keeps that sword sharp to resist the daily challenges.

Remain in the word, protect yourself from the trickery of the devil. Love and forgive unconditionally like Jesus did.

Lord, I thank Your for Your word this morning. Amen.
