Just have Faith
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
Believing that God exists is only the beginning; even the demons believe that much (James 2:19-20). God will not settle for mere acknowledgment of his existence. He wants your faith to lead to a personal, dynamic relationship.
God gave us minds that should be developed and used. To ignore intellectual growth is to live a stunted and naive life. God wants our trust and faith, even while we ponder and wonder about so many matters mysterious to us. Even so, we do not believe in a void nor leap into the dark. Faith is reasonable though reason alone cannot explain the whole of it. So use your mind to think things through. But leave room for the unexplainable works of God.
Sometimes we wonder about the fate of those who haven’t heard of Christ and have not even had a Bible to read. God assures us that all who honestly seek him—who act in faith on the knowledge of God that they possess—will be rewarded. When you tell others the Good News, encourage them, to be honest, and diligent in their search for truth. Those who hear the Good News are responsible for what they have heard (see 2 Corinthians 6:1-2). ( Tyndale Study Bible )
I just presented a task in Bible School about who and what God is. It was absorbing and pleasing work. There is much proof that there is a God. Consider this, God created the earth and everything on it. If you Google this question God presence is everywhere. In his talk titled “Creation” Dr. Phil Krill (Doctor – http://www.gtfeducation.org/ Graduate of Theological Foundations). Points out that the primary point of Creation was that GOD willed it. It is through His will that He created us. And take a moment and think how amazing we as humans are.
For a moment lets concentrate on the universe, the size of it and in what space does it hang. Here is an extract from Wikipedia – The universe is about 13.8 billion years old, so any light we see has to have been travelling for 13.8 billion years or less – we call this the ‘observable universe.’ However, the distance to the edge of the observable universe is about 46 billion light years because the universe is expanding all of the time. Oct 5, 2015(Phys.org) Now my question is explain that to me. The smartest people on earth can’t even explain it. Just for the record one light year = 9.461 trillion kilometers. Put your mind around that.
My point is certain things we just have to accept. Our minds are too small to grasp, the vastness. Just like the scripture says without faith and accepting certain things we will be in no mans land. God in the Bible, teaches us, faith the size of a mustard seed will move mountains for us. I certainly can’t understand all these things so I accept by Faith.
What I do know is that as God willed creation, humans and he will’s the best for us. Just accept this by faith. How do I know this I read it in the Bible God’s word? The most powerful guide ever. Just believe.
Lord, I love Your instruction. Give me wisdom and determination to abide by your Word. In Jesus name. Amen.”
