“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.” (‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ NLT)
True love is an action, not only a feeling. It produces selflessly, and gives sacrificially. The greatest act of love is giving one’s self for others. How can we “give up our lives?” By serving others with no thought of receiving anything in return.
Sometimes it is easier to say we’ll die for others than to truly live for them — this involves putting others’ desires before our own. Jesus taught this principle of love in John 15:13.
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ NLT)
These passages tell us that we are to love each other as Jesus loved us, and He loved us enough to give his life for us. We may not necessarily have to die for someone, but there are other ways to practice sacrificial love, such as, listening, helping, encouraging, and giving. Think of someone in particular who needs this kind of love today and give them all the love you can, and then try to give a little more.(Tyndale Study Bible)
I feel I need to say this. Why do I write this Blog? I am speaking to myself. I can’t imagine what I would be if I were still living like I did in all those stolen years when I never knew the Way. My biggest regret today is knowing God without having had a relationship with Him. Fortunately, that has changed.
Being a Christian does not make me perfect. I strive for perfection, yet I am humbled before God every day… But enough about me! Here to follow, just another lesson, not by me, but by the Bible and God.
Love is not a feeling it’s an action. A question: what worthwhile has no action with it? Every single result I have experienced goes hand-in-hand with an action.  The most amazing thing is the bigger the work, the more significant the result.
Love – Marriage is hard work, even though you think it shouldn’t be because that is what you chose. I just said anything worthwhile takes work. Think of your growth in faith, does it just happen? No, it does not, you have to spend many hours in the word.  Yeah, all this rich coming from me! What do I mean? Self-talk is a very handy tool because it is inevitably be guided by the Holy Spirit. That little voice in the back of your head. I told you I am talking to myself. We all need a little self-talk
The Bible tells a story of the disciples asking Jesus who the greatest among them was? Jesus replied, “he who serves most.”
Do You want to be the greatest? It’s an action; you have to do something!
“Lord I pray for courage to serve, I want to be the greatest for You God. Let my love for You be first. In Jesus name. Amen”
