You reap what you sow

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬
It would certainly be a surprise if you planted corn and pumpkins came up. It’s a natural law to harvest what we plant. It’s true in other areas too. If you gossip about your friends, you will lose their friendship. Every action has results. If you plant to please your own desires, you’ll harvest a crop of sorrow and evil. If you plant to please God, you’ll harvest joy and everlasting life. What kind of seeds are you planting? (Tyndal Study Bible)
Have you heard the saying what goes up must come down? Yes, I am sure you have. You get what you give. You are what you eat. There are may of these sayings.
The most important one to me is “a man reaps what he sows.” If you don’t invest how can you expect a reward? If you expect plenty, then you must sow or invest plenty. Consider the commentary above. If you sow evil or bad, you can only expect evil or wrong in return. Yes if you talk bad about people behind their back, what do you expect in return. Do you expect them to treat you with love and affection?
Consider this, in the workplace who do you think the Bos notices? The guy that hides from work, nope, certainly not him. He seeks the one that always goes the extra mile. Not the man that hides. Think of the athlete that is preparing for a big event. Who is going to win Gold? Yes, the person trains the hardest and smartest. Not always easy. But very real.
So there are two things to consider here. How much you plant or sow. Then how do you take care of that seed? Watering and nurturing it, adding to its potential to produce.
So, in short, the person that correctly sows, rewards will be in heaven. What a privilege and honour.
The guide as to how, is all in the Bible, Gods Word.
“Lord, reveal Your wisdom to me and others. Amen.”
