He is for us

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:31‬ ‭NIV‬‬
Do you ever think that because you aren’t good enough for God, he will not save you? Do you ever feel as if salvation is for everyone else but you? Then this verse is especially for you. If God gave his Son for you, he isn’t going to hold back the gift of salvation! If Christ gave his life for you, he isn’t going to turn around and condemn you! He will not withhold anything you need to live for him. The book of Romans is more than a theological explanation of God’s redeeming grace—it is a letter of comfort and confidence addressed to you. ( Tyndal Study Bible )
I have seen this many times. A person breaks down emotionally when they get saved. When you speak to them, they say two things. Firstly they can’t believe that God loves them. Secondly, they can’t believe that God accepted them to His kingdom.
A friend of mine in my work environment suffers from depression and is currently considering taking medication for it. Something I noticed, people that suffer from depression are often lonely. Loneliness adds to depression. There are other factors as well. My thoughts have always been this. Something causes depression, so my advice is deal with that cause, whatever it may be. It’s different for all who suffer.
My friend was saying to me, that certain things that happen daily aggravate his feeling of depression. So my point exactly, deal with that stuff or at least avoid them.
Pay attention to the words in the scripture above. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” We, humans, are social creatures we need to belong somewhere. How many of us even in relationships are lonely? The point I am trying to make is. If God is for you, who can be against you? Remember God is for everybody in this world. All we have to do is take the step or make the choice. God created man with the ability to choose. So do the right thing. I speak from experience if you have a relationship with God you never need to be lonely again. Try it; I can assure you that God restores. He promises the best for you in scripture. Just do it.
I need to add this, a while ago I made the comment that we look after our physical beings by correct eating and exercise. What are you doing for your soul? Are you taking care of your mental state? The most important aspect of you, your mind.
“Lord I pray that people will understand Your goodness. I pray they make right choices. In Jesus name. Amen.”
