“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.”
Psalm 68:19 NIV
God sets his people free and crushes his enemies. Salvation is freedom from sin and death. Those who refuse to turn to God will be crushed by sin and death. They will be trapped by the sin they loved and destroyed by the death they feared. How much better it will be for those who love God and fear the consequences of sin.(Tyndal Study Bible)
Sin is a word filled with burden and weight. It weighs heavy on our minds. It’s like we don’t want to hear the word. Because with it comes guilt and condemnation. We know God forgives our sin. When faced with sin, we struggle to forget our past transgressions. All those old things come flooding back.
Remember what the Bible says. All sin leads to death. It could mean physical death or spiritual death. Either is not okay.
Consider this drug dealer and addicts if they carry on with their habits end up dead. Their lifestyle certainly does not lead to a peaceful life. The opposite, a Pastor, certainly has a peaceful life. Yes, these are two extremes, but I am sure you get my point.
Just like I said yesterday God is our refuge and will take care of our burdens. All we have to do is make the right choices.
“Lord, thank you for taking care of me. Thank you for forgiving my sins. In Jesus name. Amen.”
