“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬
In these verses, Paul gives a brief summary of the Good News. God loves us, called us, and sent Christ to die for us. We can have eternal life through faith in him because he broke the power of death with his resurrection. We do not deserve to be saved, but God offers us salvation anyway. What we must do is believe in him and accept his offer. ( Tyndal Study Bible )
Why are we so significant. God loves us because he created us. God created us in his image. Genesis 1:27 – “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” He gave us the power of choice. So we get to we choose what direction we want to take in life. That in itself is a tremendous privilege.
Another major event was He sent his son Jesus, John 1:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Like I said, we are very special people. Listen to next two promises we shall not perish, but have eternal life. Wow, is that not amazing?
So here the thing, we are called to action just like always. We have to make a choice. As Timothy says, we must accept his invitation to the Holy Life. Then all these promises are realised. How amazing. All you have to do as a unbeliever is to accept Jesus as your personal saviour. I invite you to accept His invitation. ( Contact if you need assistance ) As believers, we should be telling people about the Good News. Inviting to accept Jesus as their personal saviour. Guide people to make the right choices.
As the scripture says, this is given us through Grace, what a privilege. The peace you receive when you accept this invitation is amazing. Try it I can vouch for it.
“Lord, I pray this invitation touches people. Through Your grace Lord. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.”
