1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT
We cannot imagine all that God has in store for us, both in this life and for eternity. He will create a new heaven and a new earth (Isaiah 65:17; Revelation 21:1), and we will live with him forever. Until then, his Holy Spirit comforts and guides us. Knowing the wonderful and eternal future that awaits us gives us hope and courage to press on in this life, to endure hardship, and to avoid giving in to temptation. This world is not all there is. The best is yet to come.
In our wildest imagination, we can not come up with the wonderful things the Lord has stored up for us.
Isaiah 64:4 “For since the beginning of the world [men] have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, [what] he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.”
Does any of us actually understand what heaven will be like? No – all we can do is consider what is written and promised by God.
I would like to use an example. When I got saved, the peace that overcame me was incredible. That peace has stayed with me. When I spend time in God’s word and presence it’s the same.
Many people in this world do different things to find that peace. Yoga, meditation, exotic destinations and many more. Do you know what I am talking about? You see, you don’t have to do any of that, all you have to do is accept God’s salvation. The rest is described in the Bible. All you are seeking is right there.
To crown it all, when you do accept that salvation the promise of heaven is part of that. It is described as better than anything you ever have experienced. Believe you me I have done and experienced some amazing things in my life. I can’t imagine what heaven is going to be like.
One must be a fool not to enroll to this program.
“Lord I thank you for showing me the way. I pray that the world will see what You do. In Jesus name. Amen.”
