Cast your cares on the Lord

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭55:22‬ ‭NIV‬
God wants us to give our burdens to him, but often we continue to bear them ourselves even when we say we are trusting in him. Trust the same power from God that sustains you each day to carry your cares and burdens also. (Tyndale Study Bible)
What is the fundamental principle of the world? Seedtime and Harvest. You will reap what you sow.
Two things come to mind here. Have you ever wondered who looks after the birds and the bees? God off course. He looks after all His creation. So my question is why won’t He take care of you. Off course, he will take care of you, because He takes care of all.
The second thing is this. We know that God will take care off us because he takes care of all his creation. So why do we lean on our own understanding? You see soon as things are going well, we forget about God. We think we can do it on our own. You see, the Bible is very clear we should rely on God all of the time. In good times we should rely on His instruction for good living. That good living will stand us in good stead. You reap what you sow.
The one thing I learnt after taking the step of salvation is obedience. The more obedient you are. The more God blesses you. Please never think that you can get saved and believe that you don’t have to work.  The Bible commands us to work hard. You reap what you sow. So just like the Bible instructs us about, it instructs us what to do all the time. “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you.”
So I believe God asks us to do our bit then He will take care of us.
“Lord, I thank you for Your instruction. Amen.”
