“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)
The Lord Himself will remove his hand of judgment, disperse Israel’s enemies, and come to live among his people. He will give them gladness. Zephaniah points out that gladness results when we allow God to be with us. We do that by faithfully following him and obeying his commands. Then God rejoices over us with singing. If you want to be happy, draw close to the source of happiness by obeying God.(Tyndale Study Bible)
God lives among us. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, His presence can be felt daily through the Holy Spirit. God only intends the best for us. When Jesus died on the Cross, the Holy Spirit was released over the earth to guide us, show us the right road. What we often don’t do is take the high road that He has made for us. Yes, there is a price to pay, be faithful, and the rewards will be great.
His love surrounds us daily and gives us the calmness to do what is necessary. We should have no fear as He is with us always. When the music stops, the anointing stops. The music will rejoice over you.
Choose the right road and God will rejoice with us. The words of the commentator draw close the source of happiness, which is God. Have you wondered how? Read your Bible meditate on the Word. Stay in Prayer. Stay connected to Holy Spirit. Meditate, read and Pray.
