It’s been revealed

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, (‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭11-12‬ NLT)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
Paul brings out two aspects of Christian living that must be stressed today. “We should live in this evil world . . . while we look forward with hope.” Both aspects of living and looking forward are essential to our Christian sanity in this present evil age. The living is made bearable because we live for God—seeking to build his Kingdom with whatever gifts he has given us. And it is that very Kingdom to which we are looking forward. As we live and look forward, we anticipate three great benefits of Christ’s return: (1) Christ’s personal presence—we look forward to being with him. (2) Redemption from our sinful nature—we long for the end of the battle with sin and our perfection in Christ. (3) Restoration of creation—we anticipate the complete rule of grace when the image of God will be fully realised in people and when the created order will be restored. (Tyndal Study Bible)
As the scripture says, the Grace and favour of God have been revealed to us.
I got a message of thanks from Mark thanking me for these words I send. Mark, I want to tell you all the Glory to God, it’s through His inspiration. What’s more each of us can touch somebody every day. Everyone can share what you have experienced, your story or testimony, it’s that easy.We are God’s voice and example. You never know what the effect will be.
Know the strange thing I have never dealt with anybody that has never heard of God. You see Jesus has died and been revealed. I have been to prison and seen what happens there. Everybody in their darkest hour calls on God. Know the question is what our darkest hour is? The next question I have why wait for your darkest hour and then call on God.
Apart from calling on God, we should be grateful for our situation and blessings. I was driving to work this morning, at 6 o’clock, turning the corner close to my office I noticed two people laying down and huddled in plastic. It was very cold and wet in Cape Town. As I was writing this, huddled in bed under a warm duvet, with a cup of hot Horlicks. How grateful I should be, daily I have all the comforts. Close your eyes and ponder for a minute how grateful we should be.
So why should we be instructed by the word to do the right thing? We know what is right. Accept that wisdom and devoted yourself to God. Its all in the Bible.
“ Lord I thank you for loving me. I thank you for your word and inspiration. In Jesus name. Amen.”
