“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
1 John 4:18 NIV
If we ever are afraid of the future, eternity, or God’s judgment, we can remind ourselves of God’s love. We know that he loves us perfectly (Romans 8:38-39). We can resolve our fears first by focusing on his immeasurable love for us, and then by allowing him to love others through us. His love will quiet your fears and give you confidence. (Tyndale Study Bible)
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I am going start by saying this. Love is not a feeling which we might think it is. The word Love is a verb. Yes, I know you have heard this many times. So love is an action. We have to do Love it’s not passive. What the scripture is trying to tell us that we can rely on the Love of God in all situations. We need not fear any situation because we have the Love of God on our side.
People do crazy things in this world today. Take these Isis people; they are sending people out into the world to kill innocent people. Innocent people that don’t share their vision. My question is, does killing people motivate people to join their cause. I don’t think so. Personally, I think if they were treating people with Love, their following would have a better result. Treating people with compassion and love, I believe, will get you better results.
When last have you been treated with genuine compassion? Can you remember how you felt? I can ask as well when last did you treat someone with genuine compassion and love.
I believe if we can base society on the principle of love, as the Bible explains, results in peace would be far greater in the world. The love that comes to mind is the love mothers have for their children. You even see that in nature. If we can treat people around us with that same compassion, I think the world will be a better place.
Rely on His love.
“Lord, I pray that people love like You do, unconditionally. Amen.”
