“See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.” (Isaiah 12:2 NLT)
This chapter is a hymn of praise—another graphic description of the people’s joy when Jesus Christ comes to reign over the earth. Even now we need to express our gratitude to God, thanking him, praising him, and telling others about him. From the depths of our gratitude, we must praise him. And we should share the Good News with others.(Tyndale Study Bible)
As Isaiah says: “He has given me victory.” From the moment I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, the process of reformation began.
A call to action once again. With everything in life, you need to decide what you are going to do, and then you do it. An example of this is losing weight. You need to decide to do something and then do it, or nothing will happen.
We can’t accept God and not trust in Him and have faith in Him. It’s like deciding to lose weight then doing nothing to make that a reality.
Two years ago I spent a blessed week in the Caribbean, sailing the West Indian Islands. You can stay on the Ship and do nothing or can take part in the daily activity of the ship. If you don’t, then the opportunity will pass you by, like swimming with the Dolphins.
Take action and victory will follow.
“Lord, I pray that you will give me strength and wisdom to do the right thing. In Jesus name. Amen.”
