#iwillrestoreyou

This is how the Lord responds:  “If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you!  20 They will fight against you like an attacking army, but I will make you as secure as a fortified wall of bronze. They will not conquer you, for I am with you to protect and rescue you. I, the Lord, have spoken!  – Jeremiah 15 19-20
Jeremiah accused God of not helping him when he really needed it. Jeremiah had taken his eyes off God’s purposes and was feeling sorry for himself. He was angry, hurt, and afraid. In response, God didn’t get angry at Jeremiah; he answered by rearranging Jeremiah’s priorities. As God’s mouthpiece, he was to influence the people, not let them influence him. There are three important lessons in this passage: (1) In prayer we can reveal our deepest thoughts to God; (2) God expects us to trust him, no matter what; (3) we are here to influence others for God. (Life Applications Study Bible)
Remember what I said yesterday. The church is one of the places where you hear the word of God. Personally, I believe it is vitally important to attend Church. Its the gathering of the saints. Last week I received the revelation of the promise and blessing of Abraham, and that is ours through Christ Jesus. My question is would I have found it if I was not in Church.
On Sunday our Pastor’s message titled “Return to me” was precisely one of those moments again. What he was saying is, return to the word of God the Bible.
As I woke today and started preparing for this day, a shower shave breakfast dressing, I know many of you ladies what to wear to feel and look your best, the same applies to the guys. Then spending time in the car or bus/train pondering on your day ahead, thinking what activity will achieve the best result. Most of these we do are because we have to, we cant go to work naked, and most of has to work to earn a living. What we don’t realise that all of this is a blessing.
My point, however, is, how much time do we spend on our spiritual well being. Look after the peace of God you received when we got saved. Our Church refers to anointing all the time; it is easier to receive that when you move closer to God. I encourage you to buy out the time to work on this. As the Scripture says “return to me.” and I will restore you. In other words, return to Word of God. I have to Quote this scripture again because it is that relevant.
‘So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.’  – Romans 10:17 NKJV
Take note of the commentary again, remember success at anything comes from doing, making a concerted effort, to get that result. It applies to all things in life, don’t neglect God.
“Lord, I pray that we seek you through your Word the Bible. Afford all the time to spend in Your presence. In Jesus name, Amen.”
