If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. (James 3:13 NLT)
Have you ever known anyone who claimed to be wise but who acted foolishly? True wisdom can be measured by the depth of a person’s character. Just as you can identify a tree by the type of fruit it produces, you can evaluate your wisdom by the way you act. Foolishness leads to disorder, but wisdom leads to peace and goodness. Are you tempted to escalate the conflict, pass on the gossip, or fan the fire of discord? Careful, winsome speech and wise, loving words are the seeds of peace. God loves peacemakers (Matthew 5:9) (Tyndal Study Bible)
God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. (Matthew 5:9 NLT)
What a question, have you ever seen a wise man act foolishly? No, that just never happens.
I love this example of a fruit-bearing tree. Think about it, the better the food and care the better the fruit. Reflect on the fruit farmers. They spend hours of research and attention to ensure a decent crop.
Know think of ourselves what do we do to ensure a great result? You the wisdom is all in the Bible, all we need to do is study and apply it. It’s that simple. A thing that I strive for is to surround myself with people who can influence me in the correct way.
“Lord I pray for more of your wisdom. I thank you for the Bible. May I have the wisdom to influence people. In Jesus name. Amen”
