Wear it

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬ NLT)
In the Christian life, we battle against “rulers and authorities” (the powerful evil forces of fallen angels headed by the devil, who is a vicious fighter, see 1 Peter 5:8). To withstand their attacks, we must depend on God’s strength and use every piece of his armour. Paul is not only giving this counsel to the church, the body of Christ, but to all individuals within the church. The whole body needs to be armed. As you do battle against the “mighty powers in this dark world,” fight in the strength of the church, whose power comes from the Holy Spirit… (Tyndal Study Bible)
Reading this scripture, I immediately thought of work. Do we rely on God’s strength in our daily challenges?
Every day we are faced with various challenges. Our days have many small events and things that challenge us to deliver a good service. Think of third parties not delivering on their promises. All these things have an effect on our behaviour. We can even lose our temper. Go around complaining about the smallest things. Is this the correct way to glorify God?
Yes, I struggle daily. The right way would be to dress ourselves in God’s armour. I have used these words before, Pure, Holy and Humble. No this sounds more like Gods armour. Take careful consideration of all God’s armour that will protect you from the devil’s attacks. Will it be necessary to complain?
Think of this, do you apply the work ethic to glorify God? Do you work diligently to Glorify God?
“God I pray that you dress me in your armour, so I can do and be everything to Glorify You. In Jesus name. Amen.”
