“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT
In a culture filled with moral depravity and sin-inducing pressures, Paul encouraged the Corinthians about temptation. He said: (1) temptations happen to everyone, so don’t feel you’ve been singled out; (2) others have resisted temptation, and so can you; (3) any temptation can be resisted because God will show you a way to resist it. God will help you resist temptation by helping you (a) recognize those people and situations that give you trouble, (b) run from anything you know is wrong, (c) choose to do only what is right, (d) pray for God’s help, and (e) seek friends who love God and can offer help when you are tempted. Running from a tempting situation is your first step on the way to victory. (Life Applications Study Bible)
Holy Humble and Pure, as I read this scripture these words ring in my head. I love the way God speaks to us. The point is one should allow that voice in you and then listen.
This thought comes to mind we do many things in life that is wrong. Then there are many things we do in the wrong way. Like painting a wall without a drop sheat. Trying to unscrew a screw with a knife. I know there are times we must improvise, but there is a wrong and right way. The point I am trying to make is you can never fix things if you don’t acknowledge you are wrong. If you think you are right how are you going to change things? The Question is, do you want to change? I believe in the process of self-improvement and things that go along with that, to achieve that there is a need for change. In this modern world when we want to do something, like losing weight, we refer, to advice from google a pro or a book. I am sure you understand what I mean.
When a sportsman wants to be a champion he employs the best coach and coaching methods. Soon as a soccer team stops winning, they want to change the coach, why because they believe a coach will make a difference. New techniques and hard work then the team can be back to winning ways.
The point of this is, who is your life coach? Yes, that makes you think. For the most important aspects of life, we don’t rely on a coach. We believe we can manage yourself. How often do you fail? So consider the scripture and commentary, wise words I rate. Consider reading the rest of the Bible for further instruction and guidance. Do you want to be on top off your game? It’s all there.
“Lord, I thank you for Your word. Amen.
