What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31 NLT)
Do you ever think that because you aren’t good enough for God, he will not save you? Do you ever feel as if salvation is for everyone else but you? Then these verses are especially for you. If God gave his Son for you, he isn’t going to hold back the gift of salvation! If Christ gave his life for you, he isn’t going to turn around and condemn you! He will not withhold anything you need to live for him. The book of Romans is more than a theological explanation of God’s redeeming grace—it is a letter of comfort and confidence addressed to you.(Tyndal Study Bible)
I have prayed for many down and out people over time. Often they become emotional when saved. When they come to the realization that God loves them no matter what they have done, they can’t believe it and are overcome with emotion.
Since I have got saved, I can’t believe that there are still people out there that doubt salvation. God’s promise of salvation is sure in the same way it’s sure he gave his Son Jesus to die for our sins. What a huge commitment. With that came the privilege that we can talk to God directly.
So my question is why do you think God won’t love you. His gift of salvation is for everyone because Jesus paid the price for everyone. God’s sacrifice of his Son for our sins is clear indication that he is for us. By us, I mean everyone in this world.
What’s more important we as believers should actively tell people about the promises of God. If we don’t who will? Who told you about the Good News? Read the words in bold again.
“ Lord I thank you for caring for me and the world. Thank you for being with me. I pray for courage to spread the Good News. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen”
