“Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
The secret of a close relationship with God is to pray to him earnestly each morning. In the morning, our minds are freer from problems, and then we can commit the whole day to God.
Do you have a best friend or some you are trying to befriend? Or are in a new relationship? In all these instances you have to communicate.
Communication helps to build friendship and relationships. Many say communication is the cornerstone of marriage. It is how you get to know your friend. Undoubtedly necessary for a healthy relationship with God. We need to communicate with him daily.
Do you have a regular time to pray and read God’s Word? As with people close to us, we need to make time for them otherwise they will become distant. In this fast-paced modern world, I have heard the words “Date night.”  A new way of making time for each other. Significant here is no distractions, to focus on your spouse or friend solely. Why so you can build and nurture that relationship. It applies to old and new relationships.
So for some our Christian walk is new and some old, yet the same thing applies. Quality time with God. Psalm date 900 BC, David the writer knew then already that it was essential to spend time in the presence of God.
As I pondered this scripture, my thoughts went to this, knowing and doing?
99% of us know the right thing to do. Do we, however? Succes in this world comes from doing and by that I mean the right thing.
Lord, I pray these words create right choices in me. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
