“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”
Psalms 139:23-24 NLT
David asked God to search for sin and point it out, even to the level of testing his thoughts. This is exploratory surgery for sin. How are we to recognize sin unless God points it out? Then, when God shows us, we can repent and be forgiven. Make this verse your prayer. If you ask the Lord to search your heart and your thoughts and to reveal your sin, you will be continuing “along the path of everlasting life.”
Right here guys is the moment of truth. Sin, I ask what are my thoughts. Yes I am going to stay with myself today. Because I am always speaking to myself. So here is the question? If you ask the Lord to search your heart and your thoughts and to reveal your sin, you will be continuing “along the path of everlasting life.”
The Bible speaks about revelation. New things are revealed to me every day. It normally happens at that point when you think you know it all. Yep surprise her is a new wisdom. How stupid was I?
You see for a very long time I thought, that sin is, what you did. I never thought it is what you think about. Yes I heard the words in scripture: “so man think so is he” What I reckoned I was smart enough to hide it from the world it would be okay. Nobody knows. Little did I know God knows. For a while I really thought I can fool God. You can’t fool God. Like scripture says he knows everything about us, to the last hair on heads.
It makes me think of those words again Holy, humble and pure.
“Lord I pray for pure thoughts. I pray for purity in everything. Forgive me for the wrongs. In Jesus name. Amen.”
