I encourage you

‘We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For he called you to share in his Kingdom and glory.’ 1 Thessalonians 2:12
By his words and example, Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to live in a way God would consider worthy. Is there anything about your daily life that would embarrass God? What do people think of God from watching you? (Life Application Study Bible)
Do you have a guideline by which you live? Do you follow a book of instructions?  Are there certain principles that you adhere too?
Our Church runs an outreach programme in a couple of Jails in the greater Capetown area. Obviously to impact and change the lives of the prisoners. Many a time the question gets asked prisoners what went wrong in their lives. Most make the comment they never had a role model. Broken homes a lack of direction and guidance, often because fathers are absent. So my question is if the greater society follows Biblical principles will things be as bad? I need not give you the answer.
I am not sure why society wants to turn on Religion. So consider this take all the religious stuff away, and follow the principles written. One thing I always find amusing is when people have lots to say about religion and no idea what the Bible says. So please comment if you know what you are talking off. I am not judging, merely an observation.
So I encourage and challenge you to take time and study the Bible. It might change your life.
“Lord, I pray for wisdom through your Word the Bible. Amen. “
