But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” (Jeremiah 17:10 NLT)
God makes it clear why we sin—it’s a matter of the heart. Our hearts are inclined toward sin from the moment we were born. It is easy to fall into the routine of forgetting and forsaking God. But we can still choose whether or not to continue in sin. We can yield to a specific temptation, or we can ask God to help us resist temptation when it comes.
Jeremiah’s Trust in the Lord
There is a right way and a wrong way to do any task. Jeremiah says that the person who becomes rich by unjust means will end up foolish and poor. Whether at work, school, or play, we should strive to be honest in all our dealings. Getting a promotion, passing an exam, or gaining prestige by dishonest means will never bring God’s blessing or lasting happiness. (Tyndale study Bible)
God knows every person’s heart. He knows every strand of hair on people head. God is almighty and knows all our thoughts.
So a man thinks so, is he? Do you struggle with evil thoughts? I certainly do. Do you have a pure heart? Study the Bible, and that will keep your thoughts clear.
I want to use this example. We should do everything to Glorify God. You know medial tasks at work and home? Paperwork, cold calling, washing, dishes and ironing, we all have resistance to these. I know in the sales game if you don’t make cold calls you are dead. Just like the comment above, there are always two ways to do things. Can you imagine making cold calls without enthusiasm? How can you expect a result? When making those calls you have to put your heart and soul into it. Some of my success is when making or taking any call; it’s with great enthusiasm.
CRC the church I go to, that happens, everything they do is with great enthusiasm, to make the experience an awesome one. That’s why the new age Churches attract so many more people. It’s a great experience, and we are drawn to that.
Over time, I have seen many people saved and then go cold again. Just as they get saved, they are on fire for God, and with time, they go cold. The world and it influences do this to us. That’s why it’s essential to study the Bible and go to Church. It will keep you sharp for God.
Just like practising for a running race you have to practice your faith. Your result will depend on making the right choices. Do that, and it will keep you from sin.
Just like the scripture says – “I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”
God will reward you for making the right choices and keeping your heart pure.
“Lord I thank You for giving me a choice in life. Protect me from evil. I thank You for Your blessing. In Jesus name.Amen.”
