Who is our role model

#whoisourrolemodel

“And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Colossians 3:17 NLT

“Whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus” It brings me back to the question who is your role model. Yes, you know what I am asking? From a young age, we are influenced by many things not always the right thing.

I made reference in an earlier blog, the success as a parent is measured by how your grandchildren turn out. In other words, we are all influenced by somebody in our lives. How many times have you heard this, he/she has the wrong friends. We have all failed in some respect. I have even now after being saved.

If I read this scripture, I think just as our salvation; we made a choice that will impact our lives for good. In my life, it has been the most significant decision I have ever made. I have these words in my email signature, “Excellence as Faith is a choice.” We have a choice.

I think of the times we honour our parents for what they have done for us. Take a moment and think of what God has done for us. Do you have time to honour him there is so much? In this scripture, Paul the writer is instructing us. Again I say we have a choice. Paul then says, if we behave as a representative of Jesus, we will honour God. Wow, that is powerful. It reminds of an athlete representing his country in a sport. The cameras are on him and almost always he is at his best behaviour. So God is the most important thing in our life’s, so how important is to behave and act in honour. As a Christian, you represent Christ at all times—wherever you go and whatever you say. What impression do you leave with people? Following from this what do we have to do to honour Christ.

A while ago I wrote about being grateful, this will go a long way to being more Christ-like.

Lord, I pray these will speak to our life’s. Let’s glorify You, God. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen
