Act wisely

“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4:5-6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We should be wise in our contacts with nonbelievers, making the most of our opportunities to tell them the Good News of salvation. What opportunities do you have?
When we tell others about Christ, it is important always to be gracious in what we say. No matter how much sense the message makes, we lose our effectiveness if we are not courteous. Just as we like to be respected, we must respect others if we want them to listen to what we have to say. (Tyndal Study Bible)

What are your aspirations? I remember growing up and hearing what an amazing my father, Norman Lotz was. A couple of words come to mind when I think back to him. Disciplined, hard working, good with his hands, wise, humble, passionate and family values. In short an amazing father. Backed I must say by my mother, Carina. One thing I can remember clearly is the only place where the carpet was worn to the core in their bedroom, was where he knelt to pray.

I am going to say this the advice above is brilliant. Even unbelievers can take heed of this wisdom. Because yes we all want people to say wow know that is a stand-up guy or girl. It gives us that warm feeling. Nobody intends to live in “isolation” So that’s why I make the comment in the heading “Make it count.” So unbeliever if you want to make a difference in your life, make the interactions count! Believers here is your opportunity to touch the lost out there. Make it count. We are to be a shining light and a disciple for God. The thing is believers don’t need to rely on their own understanding. We have the Holy Spirit and the Word of God the Bible to guide us. Need I say more.

“Lord, I thank you for Your instruction and wisdom. Amen.”
